I was totally captiavated by this pencil which is drawn like the classic pen and ink style that mimics the original E.H. Shepard illustrations from A.A. Milne's books.
Wilson is well-known for these "Pooh-style" mashups, having created similar series for the Avengers.
This is a parody by Charles Paul Wilson III that mashes up the Winnir the Pooh "stuck" scene with characters from his "The Stuff of Legend".
In this illustration, the heroic toys from the comic take on the roles of the residents of the Hundred Acre Wood:
Maxwell (The Bear): Playing the role of Maxwell is a teddy bear who is the "Big Guy" and protector of the group.
Percy: (The Pig): Representing Piglet, Percy is a piggy bank who serves as the "Smart Guy" of the team.
The Jester: This character, often shown as a jack-in-the-box or in knight-like armor, is the "Lancer" or second-in-command.
Quackers: A wooden duck on wheels who often acts as the "tagalong" member.
Monty: A cymbal-clapping monkey who is one of the Kindest Toys n the story.
The Pumpkin Head: A visual nod to the Halloween-themed aesthetics found in Wilson's other work, specifically The Wraith.
