Description
this page means a lot to me, which is lucky because it was looked over by a lot of people. the main character shown plays a small part in the initial miniseries, but as readers of the novels know sheemie plays an integral role in helping roland on his quest. not only is the subject matter great the art of jae lee reflects perfectly the moments shown here. sheemie hidden by the bushes watches as susan is kidnapped. look at sheemies face and you don't even need word bubbles to know that grief, self doubt, failure, and guilt are pouring from sheemie as he watches the horses ride away. beautiful.

Excellent page! Sheemie is central to the story as an observer, a player and at times a conscience. But the most important aspect of this page is that not only does Jae Lee "get it" as an artist but he can make a first time reader feel it as well. To me the Dark Tower series represents Stephen King at his best. This series should be what he will be most remembered for in history. Don't get me wrong I love the greater majority of his books but this story was epic in every way and the characters will live on forever in our hearts and minds
