Description
Many cartoonists have credited Mr. Roberts' Cartoon Tips with starting them on the road to fame and fortune. Harold Gray once stated, "Why, if it weren't for Charlie Roberts, I might've actually drawn pupils in Annie's eyes. Wait, I did draw pupils, but that was in that late crap I drew." And George Herriman once commented, "The way that Mr. Roberts could draw an ear impressed the hell out of me. I mean, it looks so simple, but looks can be deceiving. Go ahead and try and draw an ear like that. It almost ruined me! But I perservered. Even though I'm no Charlie Roberts, I think I did, well, okay."

Maybe someday Uncle Charlie will show you the original he received from that talented and well known syndicated cartoonist Sparky Freleng.
