Description
The Maji Doc Savage cover painting by James Bama. This is the only image I have on this computer so we'll have to live with it for now. I pay TOP DOLLAR for original Doc Savage paintings. Just ask my wife. LOL!

Thanks Lance. They are so hard to come by and a real part of my childhood that I think the Doc's will be the last thing to go should I ever go belly up. You're a good man Lance. Thanks again. Jack

Thanks Terry. My friend woke me up at 2 in the morning alerting me of its presense in the marketplace. Although it was expensive and a difficult decision, I'm glad I made it. It took me ten minutes to agonize over it. Luckily I was half asleep. Or awake. LOL.

If you could see me now, you would see my head shaking as the muscles in my face force a smile of incredulity. What can one say when confronted by something this special other than "Congratulations."

Thomas, Thanks. My wife and friends think it's all quite insane. For instance, the other day, she had the nerve to take Larkin's Hate Genius down from our one bedrooms and replace it with the blue Painting of Doc in front of the pyramids from Omnibus 8. Adolf is now hanging in my daughter's while she is away at college. I suppose she will have something to say when she returns home also. "I'm not keen on waking up to Hitler," my bride of 27 years said. "Forget Hitler, look at Doc," I replied. No dice. Thanks again, Jack

Your wife told me she'd sell all of your Bama Docs cheap. Did I get that right?

She knows how much I paid for them. Probably double what any collector has spent on a Bama in years. Maybe triple. Ditto on Larkin Docs. Just call me crazy, but I always hope someday I'll get a call on a Doc because prople know I will be fair with them. So no, she'd know enough to look up how much I spent. So much stuff gets sold cheap because collectors fail to attach pertinant information on the back of whatever it is they collect. It then becomes "stuff." Nice try though.

You may be right Bill. Bama once told me the inspiration for the Maji Was a 1960's National Geographic cover. Thanks again. Jack
