With powers similar similar to that of the Great Machine, but commanding animals instead of hardware, Pherson kills his partner Holly (the pile of bones in the central panel), dons her Irish traveling cloak and works out of a hide-out in Inwood Hill. When I bought this page, I only vaguely remembered the story but could look at this all day. I've always admired Chris' clean work as seen in the published versions but having the originals is a totally different experience. Everything just looks sleek and the pages themselves are in great condition - thick, white bristol board with deep black inks by Karl Story.
