Words can't describe what this piece means to me and just how awesome it is in real life. The art is so simple and yet so stunning in it's execution, colouring, layout and etc.
I initially asked Jill if I could reserve a spot on her sketch list for Calgary. I wanted The Sandman obviously to go into my Vertigo Sketchbook. However after some discussion with Jill regarding my commission, I decided for a watercolor commission and I'd pick it up at the show. She didn't have it ready for me on Saturday - due to overwhelming demand from the previous week at C2E2 - but I picked it up Sunday and look at the results!
Her work is really stunning. One volunteer I spoke to that was maintaining her table while Jill was at a panel, said she was impressed with her artwork - since she was never exposed to it before. I guess that speaks volumes to Jill's talents. Anyway, I think I'll go get this framed. Thanks again Jill and I'll post a scan of it later. Cheers!
