Description
And the rest of the story...2008 rolls around and I am completely shocked by Dave's passing. He was gone far too soon. I read his Brushes with Passion biography voraciously. Great book. Shortly after its publication I learned that William Stout would be making an appearance at Dallas Comic-con. I knew I had to ask him to ink the sketch. I wanted it to be permanent and I wanted it inked by someone close to Dave. I approached Bill and without hesitation he agreed, but I would have to ship the book to him. Boy did that take the wind out of my sails. Ship one of my prized possesions half way across the country!?! Needless to say it took a little while to work up the nerve, but there was no need to worry. As you can see Bill knocked it out of the park and returned it in less than 2 weeks! I can't say enough nice things about Bill. He's tops in my book. Thanks Dave and Thanks Bill

Beautiful! Bill's inking is just perfect and compliments Steven's pencils wonderfully.

Stunning ink work (unsurprisingly). And Mr Stout's unhesitating willingness to ink the piece speaks volumes of the friendship and professional respect that must have existed between these two gigantic talents. A moving story.
