Original air brushed painting 2.5x3 feet on heavy art board for john carpenters The THING, one of the best movies of all time. This was used as the cover for the promotional booklet in the U.S. explaining the movie to theatres before release so there was no confusion between john carpenters movie and the original black and white "THING" movie. The booklet gave photos of the movie and credits as well as the original short story "who goes there". Out of all my THINGs this is the PRIZE.

The piece is unsigned and I have done some research but cannot seem to find out who painted it. If anyone has any idea please contact me. All I know is it is not Drew Struzan.
