DescriptionI have had this for almost 20 years. Thought it was time to break it out.As most of you know I am returning to this hobby/passion after a long time away. Emerging from an abyss if you will. So I was going through my records from 1993 and I think I just located my dumbest move in hindsight. When I bought this page back then, I also bought Spiderman #12 page 12 for $275. I then traded it that same day for two Tex pages from his Wolverine run and $75. While I wanted a Tex example I wish I had held onto that page. If anyone knows where it is, please let me know. I would like to try and get a scan of it for nostalgias sake. Spidey black costume is one of the most enjoyable subjects if you collect original comic art. The negative effect of the unusually (for comic art) whole black figure is really charming. This beautiful page you have here comes from the story that was the swan song of the costume, not to mention the result of the efforts of one of the most important artists ever, during his peak period - what a treasure!

What a great page ! Still seems totally fresh and new. No one has been able to redefine Spidey like McFarlane did 20 years ago. This stunning page is a great example why ! Thanks for sharing !

Thought issue 14 was some of the best work Todd ever did. Glad I was reading comics during this time period, I just loved all this stuff.

being a black suit fan I’m so in love with this page. Ironically McF hates drawing the black suit so there are not many good pages or examples to choose from. Grail piece imo
