Description
When I was in my comic collecting heyday in the early 90's, I very vividly remember running into a young artist that simply went by the name "The Dark One" at a Maryland comic convention, busily airbrushing a piece featuring a young warrior-maiden and her trusty (and enormous) white tiger companion. I was blown away by the work, but not yet understanding that comic art was something fans could actually own, I simply vowed to remember him and to collect his book when I saw it on the shelves of my local comic book store.

Fast-forward to a few months ago. Now, a full-fledged comic art collector, I was overjoyed to run into the Dark One again--this time over on DeviantArt.com. Contacting him through their channels, I was able to set up a pair of commissions. This is the first, featuring the New Mutants' Magik. Mr. Williams (as he's sometimes known) has only gotten better since the day I first saw his work, over twenty years ago...and Illyana's never looked better than he's rendered her here! Thanks, Gr...er, Dark One!!! :D

I must agree. Greg has gotten even better with time! -And he wasn't too shabby to start with! It still amazes me that he's able to create such masterpieces in marker! He's truly a master of that medium! Congratulations!
