Initially, the speech balloon pointed to the middle of the guy's forehead. There is a n erased note above that says, "Do the pointers have to pierce the character's skull?"

THIS is what Kevin Maguire is all about! Zany faces perfectly synced with snappy word baloons. No offense to anyone who has one, but why on earth would you want a Maguire splash page in your collection when you can find these types of things out there? The guy is brilliant. 20 yrs since he crashed the comics scene, and still no one has caught up to him in this area (drawing conversations/complex expressions) 3 great JLA pages you've got here BTW
