Met Peter Kuper at NYCC 2012 - always been a fan of his Spy vs. Spy's and I picked up a lovely set of one of his creations. This piece is the final inks on Spy vs. Spy which was published in Mad Magazine #510 (August 2011).

Peter usually does a rough sketch in pencil, but sometimes does the rough digitally. He did this one digitally, but gave me a copy of the digital rough sketch, and even did a quick little pencil sketch on it for me!

I also own the original pencils, and its great to see the different changes he made while going from rough, to pencil, to inks.

He adds color in digitally as well for the final product.

Also - sorry for the bad stitching job -- tough to work on a large image!

This art is about 22x28 on 2 11x14 pages!

This is a great set and a very nice job explaining/displaying the progression process... Not to mention, classic Spy vs Spy humor... And I think you did a great job "stitching" this together...
