I didn't read Swamp Thing much, but - after I saw that Phil Hester had already done 3 or more "Green Arrow" sketches at Kansas City's Planet Comicon 2005, I asked *him* what he wanted to do. He told me that his favorite character of all time was Swamp Thing, which he illustrated for several years. Of course, his "sketch" was inspired - and started me on going back and reading the entire series, but also a new Con sketch theme.
