My first visit to the San Diego Comic Con was in 2001, when the attendance was a paltry 40,000. I had a blast and met a lot of my favorite artists for the first time (in person). I returned in 2019 to attend the Eisner Award ceremony and had a great time again. I attended a third time in 2024, participating in a TwoMorrows Publishing anniversary panel and accepting the Eisner Hall of Fame Award for George Tuska.
