The Web is one of my favorite MLJ-Mighty characters, simply because of the really interesting costume.

Simple and color dependent but...with one of the best masks ever as drawn by Paul Reinman who gets the scalloped look just right.

Looking at other published takes on the mask you realize how much work it was, kind of like the original design for Hawkeye's mask by Don Heck. Don't believe me? Take a look at Avengers 17-30 and then look at any books in the 90s.

So here's to the one of the great under appreciated heroes, the Web, whose Silver Age stories were in a word charming. The back story give to him by Jerry Siegel were a highlight of Archie's short-lived Mighty Comics effort.
