JSA: Crisis on Earth One and Two Color Guides
It is no secret that not only am I a huge Justice Society fan, but JLA 21 reintroducing the orignal super team to Silver Age fans was a seminal issue for me.
So, when I received a recent package from Glenn Whitmore with the coloring for this year's Christmas card (yes,JSA related,) I was surprised when there was an additional fat envelope inside. I curiously opened it up and then my jaw dropped.
I'll let Glenn pick it up from here with his own words.
"Also included in this package are some original color guides from the re-colored "Crisis on Earth One/Two" which was reprinted in the "Greatest Team Up Stories Ever Told" (1989.) I don't think they are worth very much money wise, but I was ecstatic when as a young colorist I found this assignment in my box in the DC production office, I felt like I truly "made it" at DC.
Unfortunately the xeroxes of the stats had a wide black bar around each page which means I had to cut the pages down and paste them to another sheet so I could write my codes. Over the years most of them fell off. Also I did not receive all of them back from the separator."
I'll simply say they are priceless to me.
