NC Comicon is held at the convention center in Durham, NC. In 2015, the show attracted 10,000 fans and charity signings by guests of honor Charlie Adlard and Gerard Way raised $15,000 for Duke Children’s Hospital. The con has come a long way from being held in empty storefronts of a disused shopping mall (although I enjoyed those days.)
