This year's card is not an original.
We had the opportunity a few year's back to pick up a rejected cover Christmas Cover for JSA 55 by Carlos Pacheo on ebay.
I suspect the image was turned down by the DC powers that be due to Ted Grant being in a Santa suit and people might have trouble identifying him as Wildcat. You can see the final cover. that resolves the Santa/Wildcat issue in one of my additional images.
Unidentifiable heroes = reduced sales.
But that was fine with me because this was going out to 100 friends, artists and associates.
So the question was how to turn this into a full fledged holiday card? The answer of course was Chris Ivy who has worked on three of my cards.
