From the late 30s and for several decades forward, a fascinating school of illustration emerged from Chicago. It was headed by Haddon Sundblom (of Coca Cola/Santa Claus fame} and Harry Anderson , but a few hundred illustrators worked there during it's hay day. Characteristics of the Sundblom/Anderson studio look were beautiful women, beautiful paint quality and warm, cheerful colors.
