"Meridian" is story of the conflict between Sephie and her uncle Ilahn who had both been granted Sigils. Jad is Sephie's love interest. Prior to Issue 33, Jad had been thought dead after he fell after a battle from the floating island of Meridian. Protected by a trace of Sephie's power, he survived the fall and was saved by a band of fishermen. In order to earn a return voyage, he promised to kill the monstrous sea creature that had been plaguing the fishermen. The pages underground have him mapping out the cave network where it lives.
