(BORN May 18, 1885, Wilmington, DE - DIED March 30, 1940, Charleston, SC). Studied art at the Drexel Institute in Philadelphia. Mitchell provided interior illustrations for the Saturday Evening Post as early as April 1907 and continued working into the late 1930s.
