Actually, it was Bob McLeod that inked the page (I was there & did the blacks, lol). He did a GREAT job on it & wish he would do more over Angel as I think he's one of his BEST inkers & on par with Miki & Wolf.
Wow, Marvel had yet another budding superstar artist & let him slip through their fingers. Awesome piece! Shows a lot of what he'd be capable of later.
This was one of the first books I bought when I started my addiction to comics. It was, however, setting me up for disappointment as I expected ALL comics to look this good. Whenever I feel like "phoning" it in for one of my clients, I think back to this issue and imagine that someone might be paying that kind of attention to my work. Thank you for the years of inspiration you've given us all throughout the years.
I really like the piece. The only problem I have is that David charged at Goliath as opposed to backing away. Other than that, it looks great!
