Monkey King With A Gun by Gene Yang

Gene Yang did an in-store signing at Big Planet Comics in Bethesda, MD on 3/26/08, promoting his award-winning First Second book American Born Chinese. I arrived there with Mike Rhode just as Gene was arriving, and was able to get a great Hulk drawing in my "Anything Marvel" sketchbook. He had started to think about what to do in my "Least Expected" when the crowd picked up a bit. We stuck around until the crowd died down towards the end, and he'd figured out what he wanted to do -- Monkey King (a character featured in American Born Chinese) With a Gun!
