Dealers that stayed active during San Diego Comic Con's Comic Con@Home definitely did well for themselves last week, and none moreso that Felix Comic Art. His self titled SDFC 2020 event was a huge hit with fans, with his
Paul Pope and Tradd Moore art drops, the latter of which dropped on two different days for art from
Luther Strode and
Silver Surfer, helping Felix realize over $110,000 in sales last week. Panel Page Art also took advantage of the lack of an in-person show this year to release several smaller art drops
Friday, Saturday and
Sunday, and captured both the highest selling artwork for the week and the second highest sales for the week edging out Romitaman for the #2 position.
$36,000 is the highest price listed in our Dealer Market Data for an artwork by
Dave Stevens, and once again Panel Page Art edged out Romitaman Original Art for his recent record setting sale in June of $32,000 for a Shade and Doc Savage #1 cover from 1995. That should give them something fun to talk about tomorrow evening during our 9PM EST Comic Art LIVE chat on YouTube and Facebook Live.

Panel Page Art also captured the 3rd highest sale of the week with a great John Byrne Fantastic Four #236 page which sold for $12,500, and was also sold by Romitaman Original art a little over a year ago for the same amount. These two gents had a lot in common this week! Checking our Dealer Market Data sales history for John Byrne FF artwork, only the cover to issue #272 sold December 2018 by Romitaman is higher with a $25,000 sales price (and that same cover
sold on Heritage Auctions in 2017 for a little over $16k). Panel Page Art also sold a DPS to FF #256 earlier in July for the same $12,500.
A
John Totleben and
Steve Bissette Swamp Thing DPS from issue #39 sold by Albert Moy for $16,000 last reporting period. which is the highest on record in our Dealer Market Data. The next closest Dealer sale was for a DPS from issue #42 of Swamp Thing which sold for $7,500 in 2014 also by Albert Moy. In our Auction House Market Data the only non-cover sale close to this one happened last May on eBay for a page from
issue #53 which realized $15,300 on their auction platform. Several Totleben Swamp Thing covers in our Auction Market Data fall between $20,000 and $18,000, including the covers to issues 29, 38, 47 and 93.

Comic Art Dealer Results in our
Dealer Market Data Search come from original art dealers whom we host. The price listed is the Asking Price on the artwork when it was marked as sold by the dealer who was selling the artwork, and cannot account for a possible lower negotiated price, trade considerations as part of the sale, and so on. There are more than 67,000 results - over $42,500,000 in sales - in our Dealer Market Data Search! When you are a subscriber to Market Data you get both our Dealer results and our Auction House results which include more than 505,000 closed auctions and fixed priced listings which have sold for more than $320,000,000 US.
With regards to our Comic Art Dealer Market Data, please keep in mind that the Asking Prices listed below might have been handled in trade or even negotiated for a lower price - we only know the original asking price of the artwork that changed hands.
In order to track sales we must be the host of the dealer website. We've built and host more than two dozen comic art dealer websites and are always looking to expand our dealer client list to assist with promoting their art for sale to the more than 250,000 people that visit CAF each month. Please
