This week we have several comic art lots from several Auction Houses that are ending soon or being featured by CAF. History in Pen & Ink Showcase Auction

Heritage has listed 315 examples of cartoon and illustrations from the past century and beyond. Highlights include pieces by Garth Williams, Thomas Nast, Lee F. Conrey, Robert James Day, Ty Mahon, John Dempsey, Gladys Parker, William Steig, John Held Jr, Robert Ripley, and more. Bids close on February 26th.

Heritage Humorama Showcase Auction

The Humorama Mid-Century Gag Cartoon Showcase features single-panel gag illustrations from various Humorama men's digest magazines of the 1950s and 1960s. This single owner collection highlights the cheeky and often chauvinistic humor these digests were known for, and showcases some top tier work by Bill Wenzel, Jack Cole, Dan DeCarlo, Bill Ward, Kirk Stiles, Bruce Stark, Herc Ficklen, Earl Engleman, Stanley Rayon, and Henry Scarpelli. Bids close on February 27th.

Heritage Zits Showcase Auction

One hundred original strips from Zits are now up for auction on Heritage. Bids closes on March 6th.

ComicLink Winter Featured Auction

Spidey is back from Battleworld with a fancy new black costume in Amazing Spider-Man #252. Magneto is on trial as Fenris attacks on the cover of Uncanny X-Men #200. Ka-Zar and the team battle an enormous sea beast in The Savage Land in X-Men #62. DD and the Black Panther swear revenge at the bedside of an injured boy on the cover of Daredevil #69. Dani Moonstar’s valkyrie uniform scares the Asgardians in X-Men Annual #9. A jam piece of the 90s Bad Girls Witchblade, Lady Death & Vampirella. Spider-Man, Vision, Scarlet Witch, and Moondragon fight to save Dr. Doom on the cover of Marvel Team-Up #44. Victor Frankenstein is aboard a ship headed to the arctic in an illustration by Bernie Wrightson. A bomb threatens an oncoming train on the cover of Ghost Rider #60. A Barsoomian flying creature from the frontispiece of Synthetic Men of Mars. Bids close on March 6th.

Comic Connect Event #61

Weapon X is covered with spikes and stumbling through a snowstorm in Marvel Comics Presents #84. Mr. Fantastic battles a Skrull as Captain Marvel arrives to assist on the cover of Fantastic Four Annual #15. Wolverine stands triumphant over a destroyed Sentinel in an image by Jim Lee/Scott Williams. Sub-Mariner and Magneto have team up against the FF in the title splash from Fantastic Four #103. Wolverine gets tossed around like a rag doll by the Wendigo in Spider-Man #10. Torch tries to rescue Crystal from the clutches of Diablo on the cover of Fantastic Four #117. Thor catches a bomb in mid-air in Journey Into Mystery #86. The dream hero rushes to rescue Jed Walker from the creatures of nightmare on the cover of The Sandman #5. The Caped Crusader faces the Ghost of Wayne Manor on the cover of Batman #341. Batman stops Poison Ivy in a double page spread from JLA: Liberty and Justice. Bids close on March 17th.
