DescriptionCheck out this very nice "PUBLISHED" Swinging Spider-Man Pinup, (1990s) which was drawn by the greatest of them all.......JOHN ROMITA SR! This very detailed Pinup features a nice large image of Spider-Man swinging as he shoots a web line with his right hand, and gets ready to release the webbing in his left hand! The drawing was meant to show the viewer how both penciling and inking were done, as the top half of the pinup is penciled and inked by John Romita, with the bottom half being drawn in fully detailed pencils! A unique and cool looking pinup here, with a LARGE actual DRAWN image area measuring 17 by 11 inches on marvel cover stock art board, which is signed at the bottom! Just a neat piece by this ICONIC Spidey and Marvel artist! It fascinates me how from growing up in the 1970s as a kid with little money, I had to work on my paper route to have funds to buy all of the comics I loved as a kid. And growing older I was able to buy more expensive comics as I saved my money while in the U.S. Army at West Point from 1985-1989 and I was able to finally buy my very first pages of comic art in 1989 and it has been an unbelievable roller coaster ride ever since that point trying to find the Amazing Spiderman #1-297 pages and Spiderman strip art from 1-3-1977 to 11-9-1980 I love so dearly and covet!! |
