DescriptionThese are 4 pages of original art that make up the story "A Day at the Beach" from Foxhole #1 (1954/Mainline). This was Simon and Kirby's war title, and the cover illustrating this story is an iconic Kirby image of a soldier with his head wrapped in bandages. This story was penciled and inked by Bill Draut. The art area on the pages measures 12" X 18". The artwork is nice and clean with some very minor use of neatly applied whiteout. Pages 2 and 3 have a diagonal crease in the top left corner. Page 2 has a small tear at the top left side that barely goes into the art area. Please use the links above this description box to see the other pages. |
