Tim's a genuine Americana buff and this piece references the movie Never So Few (1959), Steve McQueen's debut, and w an interesting cast that included Charles Bronson. The attention to detail is exquisite here, with Frank Sinatra, & Steve McQueen taking center stage. Interesting note: George Takei was in this film too, along with Frank's fellow "Rat Pack" alumni Peter Lawford. Everything you want from Tim Lane artistically here. Pen & ink on paper (9 x 12 inches - CM: 23 x 30), excellent condition. |
