The Thing (Anthony Snyder) known as ANTHA-THING here, wears his Dueling Dealers fedora while eating 6 donuts in a diner as he gets annoyed by the waiter (BILL COX in full pony tail) who tells ANTHA-THING there is NO SMOKING in the diner...TWICE! We then see in the booth right next to ANTHA-THING a time traveling 10 year old Mike Burkey telling his mom SHARON that the big ugly guy is ANTHONY SNYDER FROM DUELING DEALERS, as Sharon Snyder then tells Mike Burkey (going by his ACTUAL middle name of JOEY) to keep his voice down so he doesn't make ANTHA-THING MAD! Clearly this is a PUBLISHED SPLASH page that any super fan of THE DUELING DEALERS OF COMIC ART WOULD WANT FOR THEIR ART COLLECTION! It fascinates me how from growing up in the 1970s as a kid with little money, I had to work on my paper route to have funds to buy all of the comics I loved as a kid. And growing older I was able to buy more expensive comics as I saved my money while in the U.S. Army at West Point from 1985-1989 and I was able to finally buy my very first pages of comic art in 1989 and it has been an unbelievable roller coaster ride ever since that point trying to find the Amazing Spiderman #1-297 pages and Spiderman strip art from 1-3-1977 to 11-9-1980 I love so dearly and covet!! |
