DescriptionCheck out this very nice "HISTORIC" BRONZE AGE 1977 battle page, which was penciled by the great John Buscema, and inked by the great Pablo Marcos, from the story titled: "Battle Atop Big Ben!" This nice 1977 page features Jessica Drew (Spider-Woman) in just her 2nd ever appearance after she first appeared a few months earlier in Marvel Spotlight #32! Spider-Woman kidnaps Alicia Masters in the first panel as the Thing appears in 5 of the 6 panels battling bad guys! Art is signed by John Buscema at the top of page also. It fascinates me how from growing up in the 1970s as a kid with little money, I had to work on my paper route to have funds to buy all of the comics I loved as a kid. And growing older I was able to buy more expensive comics as I saved my money while in the U.S. Army at West Point from 1985-1989 and I was able to finally buy my very first pages of comic art in 1989 and it has been an unbelievable roller coaster ride ever since that point trying to find the Amazing Spiderman #1-297 pages and Spiderman strip art from 1-3-1977 to 11-9-1980 I love so dearly and covet!! |
