Description

This original art was used for page 8 of the story "What Rough Beast" from Creepy Magazine #45 (1972/Warren Publishing). This artwork is rendered entirely in pencil, no inks, by Frank Brunner. This may be Brunner's finest work. The art area measures 13" X 19", and it's in very good condition. In the narration block at the top of the last panel, some of the original words were cut out with a razor knife and replaced with other wording that's held in place by drafting tape on the back. Uncle Creepy's closing words were modified by removing and replacing a few words that are held in place by drafting tape on the back and some "clear" tape that has yellowed on the front.
