Description

This original art was used for page 3 of the story "What Rough Beast" from Creepy Magazine #45 (1972/Warren Publishing). This artwork is rendered entirely in pencil, no inks, by Frank Brunner. This may be Brunner's finest work. The art area measures 13" X 18+1/2", and it's in excellent condition. In the last panel, the girl and her immediate surrounding area is an original art pasteover covering the art that's underneath. Inside the word balloon in the first panel, a few of the words were altered by cutting the original words out and inserting the new wording in the space, and holding them in place with tape on the back.
