This cover is from the story titled: "Night of the Soul-Stealer!" This nice 1969 cover features Superman floating dead in outer space as the evil Thanagarian criminal called Norch Lor Batman, Green Lantern, Flash, Atom, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Criminal: Norch Lor steals the consciousness of all members of the Justice League! Just a great cover, which has stats also with it as the editors had to move Superman over to the left more so his body would not get cut during the comic book printing process! It fascinates me how from growing up in the 1970s as a kid with little money, I had to work on my paper route to have funds to buy all of the comics I loved as a kid. And growing older I was able to buy more expensive comics as I saved my money while in the U.S. Army at West Point from 1985-1989 and I was able to finally buy my very first pages of comic art in 1989 and it has been an unbelievable roller coaster ride ever since that point trying to find the Amazing Spiderman #1-297 pages and Spiderman strip art from 1-3-1977 to 11-9-1980 I love so dearly and covet!! |
