This INCREDIBLY memorable story, drawn by the great John Romita Sr is fittingly titled: "THE KISS" and features a NEVER before seen story about Peter Parker's and Gwen Stacy's VERY FIRST DATE, and VERY LAST DATE, before her shocking death at the hands of the Green Goblin! This page 1 SPLASH features Peter Parker holding the Photo Album as he reminisces about when he FIRST met GWEN STACY for their FIRST DATE! There are "7" face shots of Gwen on this splash, as well as 2 face pics of Peter, with photos of Harry Osborn, Flash Thompson and Gwen's dad: Capt Stacy also! Just a great SPLASH here, by arguably the GREATEST SPIDERMAN artist of ALL TIME! SPLASH is signed at the top by John Romita also! |

It fascinates me how from growing up in the 1970s as a kid with little money, I had to work on my paper route to have funds to buy all of the comics I loved as a kid. And growing older I was able to buy more expensive comics as I saved my money while in the U.S. Army at West Point from 1985-1989 and I was able to finally buy my very first pages of comic art in 1989 and it has been an unbelievable roller coaster ride ever since that point trying to find the Amazing Spiderman #1-297 pages and Spiderman strip art from 1-3-1977 to 11-9-1980 I love so dearly and covet!! |
