DescriptionCheck out this CLASSIC looking Spider-Man Merchandising pinup drawn entirely by the great John Romita Sr! This image was used for Marvel during the 1980's. This pinup is a HOMAGE to the "OSCAR AWARDS TROPHY" with Spider-Man standing on a webbed platform similar to the classic trophy. The actual drawing measures a large 10.75 inches from head to base and is drawn on 10.9 by 16 inch art board! Art is also signed in permanent marker by the great John Romita also! John Romita is retired now and he doesn't ink, nor pencil or sketch anymore, So don't miss out on a superbly drawn, and fully inked Spider-Man pinup that will look fantastic framed on your wall! It fascinates me how from growing up in the 1970s as a kid with little money, I had to work on my paper route to have funds to buy all of the comics I loved as a kid. And growing older I was able to buy more expensive comics as I saved my money while in the U.S. Army at West Point from 1985-1989 and I was able to finally buy my very first pages of comic art in 1989 and it has been an unbelievable roller coaster ride ever since that point trying to find the Amazing Spiderman #1-297 pages and Spiderman strip art from 1-3-1977 to 11-9-1980 I love so dearly and covet!! |
