DescriptionCheck out this INCREDIBLY "HISTORIC" LARGE ART Hulk cover, which was drawn by a combination of 2 great 1960's art teams! The entire Hulk image only was penciled by Marie Severin and inked by the great Frank Giacoia.... The ENTIRE rest of cover...Odin.. Heimdall..... all of the other Asgardian Gods....the Rainbow Bridge.....and all of the background stars and buildings and cosmic action lines... ALL OF THIS ART was penciled by the great Jack Kirby and inked by the great Syd Shores. The reason for all of this was that Stan Lee did not like how the Asgardian Gods and Odin looked By Severin and Giacoia, and he had Jack Kirby re-draw them, with Syd Shores inking, thus the mixed cover artist elements. This great large Art cover was from the ever classic story titled: "Where Walk the Immortals!" It fascinates me how from growing up in the 1970s as a kid with little money, I had to work on my paper route to have funds to buy all of the comics I loved as a kid. And growing older I was able to buy more expensive comics as I saved my money while in the U.S. Army at West Point from 1985-1989 and I was able to finally buy my very first pages of comic art in 1989 and it has been an unbelievable roller coaster ride ever since that point trying to find the Amazing Spiderman #1-297 pages and Spiderman strip art from 1-3-1977 to 11-9-1980 I love so dearly and covet!! |
