Salgado, Jimbo

Jimbo Salgado, was born in Manila, Philippines in November 3rd, 1980 and he lives at Valenzuela City. He started training himself in the comic trade since 1996 while he started studying at the University of the East taken up the course as Bachelor in Science in Fine Arts, major in Advertising Arts. During his studies in 1998, Jimbo started working professionally in Animation - TV and Movie Production several animation industries, namely: ToonCity Animation Inc, Topdraw Animation Inc, Data Quest Animation Inc, Philippine Animation Studio Inc., and ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation. He started as clean-up and inbetweener artist, then taken up both training in ToonCity Animation Inc. (under Walt Disney Animation) as an animator and layout artist. He was well-trained in all positions in animation (TopDraw Animation in clean-up and inbetweener and in ToonCity Animation as layout artist and Animator.) In 2003, he also had a subsidiary interest in teaching others, then the spark came out when he started as a Visual Art Instructor in several schools in Metro Manila teaching kids and adults alike in the field of Fine Arts. He was also a storyboard penciler in Interactive Arts Services in 2007 working with TV Commercials. Where he�s currently involved in bringing several uplifting emotional projects to life. developed and progressed into a unique and innovative expression all his own. Worked with IDW Studios, Zenescope Ent., Marvel Comics (upperdeck) and DC Ent.
