John K Snyder III

John K. Snyder III has been a veteran in the comics field for over thirty years, and has worked for nearly every major publisher throughout his career. John is known for his distinctive, graphic style and attention to detail in his work. Credits include work on key issues of the 1980's run of SUICIDE SQUAD as well as covers for the 2007 mini-series. Other published/licensed covers and trading card, pin-up, and gallery pieces include well-known subjects such as GREEN LANTERN, VAMPIRELLA, STAR TREK, STAR WARS, THE SHADOW, THE SPECTRE, PLANET OF THE APES, JONNY QUEST, THE SPIRIT, and many others. Additional cover work includes a run of classic cover re-creations for THE OVERSTREET PRICE GUIDE featuring the FANTASTIC FOUR, DAREDEVIL, THE HULK, THOR, X-MEN, IRON MAN, and the Golden Age JUSTICE SOCIETY. In collaboration with Matt Wagner, Snyder co/re-imagined DOCTOR MID-NITE(Pieter Cross)for DC Comics. Other work includes the landmark GOD AND THE DEVIL storyline of Matt Wagner's GRENDEL. John is also known as the creator of the groundbreaking alternative comic series FASHION IN ACTION, featuring the adventures of an all-female celebrity protection agency in the late, far-out 21st century. John also co-created the 1980's series LEO KRAGG:THE PROWLER with Timothy Truman and Michael Price. Also,in collaboration with Matt Wagner, John co-created LADY ZORRO for Dynamite. John's Graphic Novel adaptation of LAWRENCE BLOCK'S classic detective novel EIGHT MILLION WAYS TO DIE featuring MATTHEW SCUDDER, published by IDW, is now available from booksellers, bookstores, and comic shops everywhere!
