Small collection of Donald Reilly originals...along with one Mell Lazarus. Donald was a decades-long cartoonist for the New Yorker, Playboy and myriad publications along the way. He also wrote some classic pieces for Mad in the early 1960's (The Subtle Science of Packaging, anyone?). I was fortunate enough to get to know Donald and be a part of his extended family for many years. While not one of the more instantly recognizable names, his style has that impact. Biting, dry, dry wit and ever so sharp, his work landed, whether it was skewering '60s counter culture, '70s sexual politics, '80s corporate culture and beyond. TO my knowledge there is only one dedicated collection of his work that has been produced: a 1972 Playboy paperback from his '60s-early '70s work titled Male Chauvinist Pig! His family has graciously shared a few of his originals from Playboy & the New Yorker, and for that I am deeply grateful. I am so fortunate to have been able to genuinely call him a friend and have had the time with him and his family that I did. I'm delighted that there is a decent forum to share some of his works.
