I have 3 Gil Cohen illustrations from the 60's for sale.
All have marginal publishing notes, name removed (often painted out). At this time, artist wanted to get out of pulp biz and remove all traces of his work in field- starting on his current airplane paintings and murals which he as done for publication and for museums. These artworks were sold thru Gil Cohen's family at their "Cohens Hardware" store- which shut down over 10 years ago and became a Pearl Art Store, which also shut down.
At these prices, people are paying similar prices just for reproductions of his airplane art. (they go for $00 to close to $1,00 framed and signed.) Proof of signatures can be found on copies of magazines these were published for.
All are waterbased media (casesin) on 30"W x 22"H illustration board.
