Welcome to the Will Eisner U.S. Army Original Art archives. This site features the only Eisner Original art from the period he was the art director for the U.S. Army publication P.S. Magazine. this monthly pamphlet-sized publication was issued to servicemen around the world as an advisory and reference manual for various machinery and weaponry. All but a handful of pieces of the original art from this period in Eisner's career were destroyed in an unfortunate mistake (imagine that)while in storage in Pennsylvania. the few items that were salvaged were done so by an employee of the magazine who was asked to throw away the few pages that had fallen off the loads being incinerated.It is a great shame that all that magnificent work was destroyed.
