DescriptionAll I'll say is that my friend and I waited quite a while for both of our commissions from Adam, but the wait was totally worth it, as his skills have gotten considerably better in these intertwining years. Adam finished this piece in the spring of 2009, but I didn't take possession of it until Heroes Con 2010. I still can't believe I finally have an AH! commissioned piece in my collection.Social/Sharing |

He put some real effort into this... Worth the wait, I'd say. Congrats!

While I appreciate AH's humor mixed in with some of his other pieces, I'm actually a little happier to see him produce a fairly straight forward piece doing what he does best....drawing beautiful women. Here he draws Power Girl highlighting the sense of strength and beauty that this character possesses. I really dig this piece of art.

Thanks for the all the love (all of which is directed towards Adam). Just a quick note: I was able to thank Adam in person for this piece of art at Heroes Con 2010, and as soon as I told him which piece it was, he was able to quickly flip through his new "Cover Run" hardcover (which compiled all of his covers he's done for DC), and show me that this Power Girl piece (although cropped a bit) also made it into the "Cover Run" HC. He needed some art in an open space on one of the pages, and this Power Girl fit the bill. Neat, eh?

Maybe the most surprising thing about this is the way the eyes are pulled, not where you might expect them to be drawn, but to the face and her beautiful expression. Superbly done.

Congratulations! I am sure you were beyond psyched to finally see it in person! And to discover it was published in the hard cover, on the Power Girl issue 2 section!
