Obviously this commission is fantastic. It's DOOM being the penultimate DOOM. However, my favorite part has to be the little "D" at the apex of the globe. Only JB could think to do something so small, but so potent.

Would I like to see this in person! The sheer size of the original! Doom on this throne! Yes, it's the best Doom I've seen since Byrne stopped drawing him for Marvel way back when -- Marvel take another note. Nice one Ari. You have a beautiful collection.

Only Stan Lee wrote a better Dr. Doom than John Byrne. John always knew exactly who Doom was and is and, as this piece shows, John has the advantage in being able to convey Doom's personality in art as well. Great piece from a master of the character in all his aspects.
