Description

This page from Batman: Shadow of the Bat #6, page 22 features Batman, Jon "Ugly American" Payne and Agent Burr of the C.I.A.! Batman is fighting a crazed Jon Payne, turned into a killing machine by his own government, while Agent Burr prefers a more permanent solution to the problem that he helped create!

I love the composition and flow of this page with a very peeved Batman in the last panel.

I still remember buying this issue, all those years ago (almost 20 !) - when I opened up this issue and found out that Norm Breyfogle didn't draw it, I was disappointed for a moment... then I noticed that my other favorite comic artist of that era was doing the guest pencil and I was thrilled ! It was the first time I saw Dan Jurgens art on a solo Batman story, and I loved it ! That issue, and your page here, remain as impressive as I remembered. Congrats !
