DescriptionThe Judas Contract Part 4 - Finale. The issue is the culmination of years of storylines.George Perez is inked by Dick Giordano and Mike DeCarlo in this double sized issue and gives it a different look than the rest of the storyline. As Vice-President/Executive Editor, Giordano knew a plum assignment when he saw it. With the betrayal of Terra, The Teen Titans have gotten picked off one by one by Deathstroke. He is about to fulfill the contract to capture the Teen Titans for HIVE. A contract he took over for his son that has been open since issue 2. Little did they know that Robin is no more and is now Nightwing working with Slade Wilson's other son Jericho to break the Titans free. This splash is that moment and now the Titans are on the attack. Titans Together! He's been a comics hero for generations! Celebrate George as a person and for his contributons to comics as his influence is forever felt throughout the comics industry and the comics fandom. Social/Sharing |

you aimed for the high heavens and you succeeded. this Perez piece is explosive and illustrate members of the Teen Titans in their memorable best. congrats

An absolute classic! Even with Robin/Nightwing, Kid Flash and Raven missing, you still feel like you're watching the whole team coming at you, due in large part to the composition. Pérez spread the four figures out and drew them all large enough so that combined with all the smoke, rocks and shrapnel, the entire page is filled out. The layout offers Kirby levels of dynamism, energy and excitement and for my money, one of the best Starfire images of all time! The inks on this splash are by Giordano, which I'm really happy about as I really wasn't a fan of DeCarlo's inks over Pérez.

Wonderful page! An iconic and powerful image of the great George Perez. I met George at a convention in Spain, and I will always remember how warm and loving he was to all the fans. Thanks Marcus for posting this great page.

My ally is the heart within our OA community, and a powerful ally it is. CAF helps create it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us, binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. In the time he has left, George must feel our Force flow around him. Here, between you, me, the art of the past, the heartfelt messages of the present, yes, even between the farewell appearances and his requested hugs with the fans. Now we know there is something stronger than fear - far stronger. The smile is strong with George, and may the Force be with him.

George didn't just create this page. He co-created two of the characters on this page. But for George, Cyborg and Starfire would not exist. Two characters who, along with Raven, have entered into the collective consciousness of new generations of children, many of whom have never even read a comic book. He's created characters who will outlast every one of us alive today. How many people can say that? I'm glad that George Perez is one of the few who can say it.

I'm very sad about the Perez health conditions, George has always been one of my favorite artists since I was a child and I started reading comics. A great piece to celebrate a great artist.

Pérez has called Giordano his favorite inker in interviews and this splash demonstrates why.
This page brings back so many fond memories: of his Titans work, of a resurgence for DC Comics, and childhood, of course. George's work unites so many of us. What a fitting tribute. Thanks, Marcus.

Fantastic Perez Titans splash!
Amusingly,I find that Giordano's inks gives a retroactive Garcia Lopez feel to part of it, especially to wonder Girl and Cyborg's face(s).

There's so many great things I could say about this page, but I'm just going to focus on one thing: This is one of the most 3-D pages I've ever seen in my life! And I mean like 3-D without the 3-D glasses. Just astounding how he's able to truly make it feel like the characters are leaping off the page right out at you, especially Starfire! What a master. Huge congrats on what is truly a magnificent George Perez page!

Absolutely stunning! I love little details as much as the overall vibe; in this case, Starfire's glowing hands are a super cool, subtle accent to the entirety of the piece, as they float just outside the panel.
