Description

Although my collection is largely geared toward artists from the 1980's, there are a few artists currently working in the comics field that I would put right up there, talent-for-talent, with any one of those creators from two-decades hence. Mike Mayhew is one of them. I have been awed by his sublime talents ever since I first saw his work and have desperately wanted to get a piece from him afterward.

My opportunity to get such a piece came from fellow CAF member and all-around great guy Malcolm Bourne. Malcolm offered to sell me this fantastic piece and I jumped at the opportunity. As of now, it is easily amongst my favorites in my collection--and I hope you can see why. The colors and shading on it are simply magical to behold in person! Even better news: I've recently contacted Mr. Mayhew himself and hope to commission him for a "sister" piece to this one this Fall! Thanks, Malcolm and thanks, Mike!!! :D
