DescriptionI've been eying up Cliff's work for afew years now and I just never was able to get a sketch from him. I finally lucked out at this year's 2010 Baltimore Comicon and I couldn't be happier! Cliff's commission style is a super smooth pinup set up and I requested Mary Jane, knowing whatever Cliff did would be awesome. I was right on!Love the pinup of MJ sitting and reading a few Spidey comics. Obviously, she's reading Amazing Fantasty #15 but what's that on the floor? Three other famous Spidey covers? Any takers on what they are? Cliff joked that he was going to have her be reading One More Day but decided against it. Still funny, though! Big thanks to Cliff for squeezing me into his weekend list. Overjoyed to add this to my Spidey colelction! Thanks, Cliff!! Social/Sharing |

That's an awesome piece! And comic covers are a nice added bonus. As for what the comics on the floor are. My guess is: Amazing Spider-Man #39 (Spidey and Green Goblin both unmasked), Spider-Man #1 (McFarlane) and Secret Wars #8 (Spidey black costume).

Right on, Kristof! Totally right on with Spidey #1 and Secret Wars #8. The very first one is actually Spidey #122, with Spidey holding Gwen and the Goblin flying in (I thought the same thing, at first!). Little touches like this make a sketch even more fun!!

Seems as thou you faired much better than me at Baltimore. I didn't have enough time to get to Cliff, maybe next year?

Fantastic idea! Cliff is a great penciller, as you can say by this pin up. I love it!
