DescriptionUnder appreciated series from Marvel in the 1980s.The Earth of the near future has been invaded by aliens. Only one force is strong enough to confront them— Strike-Force Morituri! They are normal people who volunteer to become super heroes to save Earth— knowing that the transformation will ultimately kill them! What will become of the first generation of Morituri champions of Mankind now that the even more amazing second generation of super-powered human warriors is ready to battle the alien Horde? For Strikeforce: Morituri, whose members are fated to die within a year, retirement is impossible! But acclaim is not— or is it? Social/Sharing |

Underappreciated is putting it nicely. This story was way ahead of the curve and still is! Congrats on owning one of the covers! I'm so jealous.

Just a great image. the series was a quarter bin item for years and years and never got the love when it came out. Congrats on some great art by a super talented team of artists!

Strikeforce Morituri is definitely one of the best hidden gem series of the 80's. I am a massive fan of it to this day. Congrats on scoring a really great cover - one of only 4 that features the full original line-up too! I was one of the losing bidders on this when it surfaced recently. Glad to see it went to another fan :)

My mistake - one of the characters had already died by this issue, so it's just 5 of them on there... and I had meant to specify that they're all there in costume (the cover of #2 had the full team but they were not in costumes yet!)

Thanks for the comments. Yes, one of the reasons why I really liked the cover - team in costume. It's a great cover.
A friend of mine owns a number of other covers and he might be open to selling one if you're ever interested.
