At the risk of pronouncing anathema, this is a bit like Michelangelo's Pietà Rondanini: the fact that it is unfinished adds to the drama and the effect and creates a - possibly unintended - masterpiece. This is truly haunting. Possibly the best prelim I have ever seen.
