DescriptionI never get tired of seeing and (when possible) buying Enrique's works: he's an amazing artist, not second - in my humble opinion - to his legendary father Alberto. This beautiful page is from a short story he did in the mid '70s for the Italian comics magazine "Lanciostory". As regard to the plot, the characters and the ambience, it's clearly inspired by the famous Spaghetti Western movies from back then (how I like those movies!). As regard to the art, it vaguely reminds me of the works by the great Jean Giraud and those by Giraud's master, Jijé ... But it already has the unmistakable style of Breccia, especially if you look at the faces and at the villain's grotesque expressions! (pen & ink on artboard, roughly 12"x 16,5") Click HERE to see all Breccia's art in my Gallery :) Social/Sharing |

Yet Another Special Pickup, Davide! Another great tribute to Historieta Argentina!.. I don't know if you agree with me but I like to think of Enrique as the Clint of Comics.. Congratulations once again !

Great looking art. Enrique is a great artist. His father was a pioneer and a genius and for that Enrique will forever be in his shadow but when it comes to actual technical skills, Enrique can hold his own. I too love the typical Italian style western theme and feel to the page.
